Chapter 345 Charity and Community Events JAZZ PIANO NIGHT, hosted by The SladeChild Foundation, a 100% childrens charity Lockheed Martin Leadership Association chapters were
proud sponsors of the SladeChild Foundation's 4th annual Jazz Piano Night on Saturday,
November 10th 2007, held in Crofton
The event was attended by about 115 people, plus 19 local
musicians. This night of fun live entertainment included 3 sets: traditional
jazz, blues, and some country rock songs sung by members of the David Wayne
Band. There was a silent auction, featuring various types of framed photos and
lithographs, and holiday wreaths. The founder and Chairman, David Slade,
presented a short slide show about the various sponsored childrens projects,
helping destitute children in
The music, good food, dancing, and good cheer made this event a great success. About $6,000 was raised to support the SladeChild Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity for children that applies 100% of donated funds to help destitute children, providing food, clothing, shelter, education and medical care (see www.sladechild.org for more details).
