Who's Who: Officers, Directors & Committee Chairs

OFFICERS 2007-2008
Antonio Sorrell, President

Antonio is a Systems Engineer and is currently assigned to the Information Systems & Global Services business unit. 

He holds an M.S.M., Information Technology Management and an M.S., Quality Systems Management.

 Antonio is also a U.S. Air Force retiree, a Certified Six Sigma Greenbelt, and a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

 

Guy Cordier, Past President

Guy is a Systems Engineer for the Earth Observing System (EOS) at the Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD.

He and his wife Gigi have 2 grown children who practice law in Maryland. Guy enjoys the Maryland cuisine crab recipes and likes cooking.

He helps with mentoring program activities at local schools.

 

Michael Hill, Sr Vice President

Michael is a Systems Engineer for Information Systems and Global Services working in Laurel , MD.

  Michael has a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland , College Park , a graduate certificate in Systems Engineering from UMBC, and is working toward a MS in Electrical Engineering at UMBC.

His personal interests include sports, music, and movies.

 

Evan Eller, Vice President/ Acting Treasurer

Evan has extensive experience in systems engineering and analysis, scientific experimentation, and management of aerospace programs with emphasis on operations and ground systems.

His management experience includes:  team leadership and supervision, project and contract management, and financial management and analysis.

Evan also has marketing and proposal experience. He is currently the life cycle support planning lead and planner/scheduler on a major program.

Nakeeta Scott, Secretary

Nakeeta Scott is a Systems Engineer for the Information Systems & Global Services located in Laurel , MD. 

Nakeeta has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Morgan State University , Baltimore , MD.

Nakeeta has volunteered with Junior Achievement in the Baltimore area public school systems. Her personal interests include fashion and beauty consulting.

Craig Tyler, Board of Directors

Craig is a Systems Engineering Manager at Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Services in Laurel, Maryland

He and his wife Peggy have 4 children ages 21 to 15. His daughter, Megan, is graduating this spring with a B.S. in Nursing from The Johns Hopkins University . In his spare time, Craig coaches a traveling soccer team and is a Boy Scout leader.

Samuel Gatson, Board of Directors

 

Samuel is a Systems Engineer and is currently assigned to the Information Systems & Global Services business unit located in Laurel , Maryland  

He holds a M.S, Computer Information Systems Management degree and is working on a graduate degree in Systems Engineering. 

He is also a U.S. Army retiree with several years’ leadership and management experience including: small to large team leadership and supervision, and project management.

Edgardo Roman, Board of Directors

 

Edgardo is a Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin IS&GS.    Edgardo’s 24 years background include a wide range of roles and skill set applicable to high-performance computing and real time application technologies in the Civilian, DoD and IC customer domains.   

His management experience is demonstrated in technical team leadership, project management, program engineering, and cost/resource planning and control.

Edgardo received his MS Mathematics and Computer Science from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA.  

Edgardo and his wife Denise (well regarded teacher in Montgomery County ) are proud parents of three children Claudia, Noelia and Evan Antonio.  They enjoy vacationing together in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico .

Edgardo’s personal interests include the education and development of the Hispanic community youngsters.

 

John Vo, Board of Directors

John is a Systems Engineer for IS&S.

He is working towards a Masters of Systems Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University.

He volunteers with Sarah's House and Junior Achievement, and he is developing his professional skills through LM endorsed activities.
