What Is the Texas Gulf Coast Council? |

|
In NMA, the Council is the next level up from the Chapter. The Texas Gulf Coast Council (TGCC) (NMA #c240) is a group of five chapters in the Houston area that facilitate the exchange of ideas and information among its member chapters, and sponsors events to support the chapters and their members. Chapters involved in the TGCC are United Space Alliance Leadership Association (USALA), Johnson Space Center NMA (JSC NMA), Wyle Leadership Association (WLA), Bastion Employee Leadership Association (BELA), and American Valve & Hydrant Leadership Development Association (AVHLDA). |

The TGCC usually meets quarterly, as called by the Council President. When conducted, the meeting is held at 11:30 am at the USA Building (1150 Gemini) Auditorium unless otherwise noted on the calendar. With NMA National President Steve Bailey speaking, the night was a huge success! NMA President Steve Bailey came to Houston to address the JCM, and a chapter meeting at American Valve & Hydrant (AVH). While here, Steve was able to tour the Johnson Space Center and the AVH plant. Steve’s presentation was well-received, and he spoke on our chapters’ successes and the change that is going on not only in USALA’s parent organization, but all chapters are experiencing a streamlining of processes, benefits, and personnel. The night included the Gold Knight award being presented to USALA’s Janet Morris.
