Gold Knight of Management Award

Description

The Gold Knight is the highest award an NMA council can bestow upon an outstanding executive.  It may be presented only one time a year.

The TGCC Gold Knight award will be presented at the Joint Chapter Meeting in October and nominations are due each May.

Guidelines/Criteria

  1. The recipient must be an executive whose reputation for outstanding leadership is well known in the area served by the council.
  2. The recipient must have participated in programs intended to promote public understanding and acceptance of the management profession.
  3. The person should be one who has motivated other managerial people to practice the principles of the Association’s Code of Ethics and has encouraged others to contribute toward the goals and achievements of the Association.
  4. The recipient should be one who has an outstanding influence for the preservation of the American Enterprise System among business, industrial, and community associates.

Nominations

  1. One Gold Knight of Management Award a year may be purchased and presented by each chartered council to a senior executive of the council’s choice.
  2. Chartered councils shall submit a letter of qualifications of the recipient, with assigned director’s concurrence, to the President sufficiently in advance for the Executive Board to review and approve the award.

Approval

Final approval for the Gold Knight Award is with the Executive Board. The NMA Executive Board may, at its discretion, bestow the Gold Knight on worthy recipients of the Board’s choice. In the event of a presentation scheduling conflict, the NMA President is granted authority to authorize presentation of the award prior to final executive Board approval.
