Scott Chesnut
NMA National Director / 2019 NMA National Treasurer Elect

Scott Chesnut is a Business Development Corporate Lead at Collins Aerospace (formerly Rockwell Collins) in the Dallas suburb of Richardson, TX.  A member of the NMA Board of Directors since 2016, Scott will be serving as NMA National Treasurer in 2019.  He has extensive experience across many areas of public and private sector aerospace businesses.  That has included senior-level experience in aviation electronics sales, command and control programs, policy direction, airport management, strategic business planning, Congressional relations, and financial management.  He is an expert on DoD and FAA aviation systems.  Currently, Scott is responsible for leading enterprise-level BD and sales activities and capturing orders with several partner companies as part of Collins Aerospace Mission Systems.

Before entering the civil side of the aerospace business, Scott was an active duty Colonel and commander of several organizations in the US Air Force.  He holds a Master’s Degree in National Security Strategy from National Defense University, an M.A. in Airpower Studies from Air University, and MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a BS from Arizona State University.   In addition to his involvement with the Collins Aerospace Leadership Association, Scott is active in NMA’s North Texas Council which comprises NMA chapters in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
