The Savannah River Site Leadership Association (SRSLA) Speech Contest information booth at this year’s STEM event, on Thursday, October 12, 2017 was successful and well attended. Over seventy-five students from over 21 area high schools dropped by the SRSLA booth for information on how they could earn up to $5,800 by writing and delivering a speech on “Leadership” at four different levels of competition. Lydia Boynton, SRSLA Secretary and Chris Solum, SRSLA President represented SRSLA at the annual STEM event. While a team effort, the real success of this year’s SRSLA Speech Contest information booth may be attributed to Lydia. Her passion for leadership development in our young adults, believing in the purpose, and cause was conveyed to each group of students with whom she engaged.
