Lewis awarded NMA Gold Knight

Michelle Lewis, currently serving as the President of the Lockheed Martin Leadership Association (LMLA) in Marietta, GA, was recently recognized with the prestigious 2023 Gold Knight Leadership Award by the NMA Peach Council. This award is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon an individual member by an NMA Council.

Michelle is recognized as the face of LMLA Marietta, having represented the chapter for over 20 years. She played a pivotal role in opening the pathway for union workers to become NMA members, a crucial milestone in the chapter’s 73-year history.

Her leadership and accomplishments extend beyond her role in the LMLA Marietta Chapter. Michelle has served as the President of the chapter, where she has been instrumental in driving the organization’s growth and success. Under her guidance, the association has achieved numerous milestones, including increased membership and revenue. Her leadership has set an exemplary standard for other organizations.

Michelle has been actively engaged with the NMA organization for many years, serving on various committees at all levels and offering mentorship and guidance to fellow members.

During her tenure as the 2020 NMA Chair of the Board, Michelle showcased exceptional leadership skills. She worked closely with other board members to develop and execute strategic plans that ensured the long-term success of the organization, which serves over 8,000 members. Her vision, direction, and strong leadership have been vital in advancing the organization’s mission.
