Educational Foundation

The NMA Educational Foundation, Inc. exists to accelerate the Association’s major mission of personal and professional development. The Foundation operates within the parameters of its formal Constitution as a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian organization, and functions within the meaning of Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Its major duties and responsibilities are:

  • To receive tax-deductible contributions for educational purposes
  • To research the training needs of management men and women
  • To develop and make available personal and professional development resources

The members of the Foundation are the elected officers and members of the Boards of Directors of NMA and other such persons as may be elected by majority vote of the membership. The Trustees are the National Officers of The National Management Association and the Chairman of the NMA Professional Development Committee.

At the present time, Foundation monies comprise an Educational Programming Fund and a completely separate Leadership Speech Contest Fund. The Board of Trustees meets annually to review investments, plan fund-raising (if appropriate), and monitor the development of courses and programs.
