Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan LDA Chapter 141 had the incredible opportunity to support Alternative for Girls during their Role Model Celebration, an experience that was both meaningful and impactful.
Our Community Involvement Committee showed up in full force across two days of service:
Preparation Day (Feb 28)
Volunteers in Detroit came together to lay the foundation for a successful event by organizing and packaging auction items. It was a hands-on reminder that every detail matters when creating something special for the community.
Role Model Celebration (March 5) at The Henry Ford
From greeting guests at registration to supporting as table runners and delivering auction items, our members helped bring the evening to life, ensuring everything ran smoothly while celebrating and uplifting young women.
What stood out most wasn’t just the work; it was the shared energy, the collaboration, and the purpose behind it all. Moments like these remind us that leadership is rooted in service, and that real impact happens when we come together.
Thank you to Alternative for Girls for the meaningful work you do and for allowing us to be part of such a powerful mission.
