Coffman awarded NMA Silver Knight

Lockheed Martin Leadership Association (LMLA) in Marietta, GA, a chapter of the National Management Association (NMA) is pleased to share that David Coffman, Vice President, Air Mobility & Maritime Missions Production Operations, is the recipient of the NMA Silver Knight of Leadership Award!

The Silver Knight is the highest award NMA chapters can bestow upon an outstanding executive or individual leader. The award honors an executive or individual leader who conducts personal and business affairs in accordance with NMA’s Code of Ethics and continues to make outstanding contributions toward preserving and advancing the free enterprise system.

David is nominated for this prestigious award by the LMLA Marietta chapter for his commitment to Lockheed Martin, the community-at-large and NMA. He is known in the company for willingness to address issues openly and honestly. After the COVID-19 pandemic, he decided to proactively arrange in-person meetings to foster employee engagement, surpassing obstacles and showcasing his dedication to the organization. Additionally, he championed an signature event aimed at assisting other organizations in gearing up for the promising ventures anticipated in 2023, following the aftermath of the pandemic.

David will join an elite group of former recipients including Karmyn Norwood, George Shultz, Rainia Washington, Ray Burick, Lee Rhyant, June Shrewsbury, and Ross Reynolds, along with other current and former Lockheed Martin executives. This decision is based on David’s exceptional leadership, vision, and outstanding performance throughout the course of his career as a Lockheed Martin employee. His dedication to Lockheed Martin, LMLA, NMA and his ability to navigate challenges with grace and innovation have truly set him apart.
