The Lockheed Martin Leadership Association (LMLA) Chapter 542-Kings Bay recently awarded a $6,000 scholarship to Alaina Frevert, a 2024 Camden County High School graduate. The scholarship was awarded at a banquet at Osprey Cove on May 7, 2024. Applicants were required to submit a written essay describing a time when they faced a challenge, setback, or failure, how they dealt with it, and what they learned from the experience.
Alaina Frevert, daughter of Tony and Aimee Frevert of Kingsland, was selected as the recipient of the scholarship for her outstanding essay. She is a Camden County High School Color Guard and Winter Guard team captain and is currently employed as a 1 to 3-year-old para professional at Bright Beginnings Morning School through the High School work program. In addition, she has been a member of the Girl Scouts for 12 years and is currently finishing up her Gold Award Project. Alaina has applied to Coastal College of Georgia to study Early Childhood Education.
The Lockheed Martin Employee Memorial Scholarship was created to support Lockheed Martin dependents in pursuing post-secondary academic, technical, or vocational education. Since the scholarship program’s inception in 1988, the SWFLANT LMLA has awarded more than $158,000 in scholarships to 114 recipients. Thank you to everyone who attended the banquet and to everyone who supports the LMLA scholarship fund by attending the events.
