The Lockheed Martin Leadership Association (NMA Chapter 249) hosted their 2023 LMLA Corporate Night at the River Ranch Stockyards in Ft. Worth, Texas. Guest speakers included Greg Ulmer, OJ Sanchez, John Clark, Rod McLean and Bridget Lauderdale. LMLA Corporate Night was an exciting night of fun and networking with various Executive Leadership Team members as well as other LMLA members.
David Sandhu, a professional development chair for another NMA chapter, IMLA, was able to attend the Corporate Night and had the privilege of working on one of John Clark’s teams during his time as a Skunk (Skunk Works is an official pseudonym for Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Development Programs.)
“The guest speakers truly embodied the definition of being purposeful leaders,” said Sandhu. “Two things stuck with me. John emphasized the importance of being an expert in your field, but never being the smartest one in the room, and OJ Sanchez said make friends before you need them which is a good reminder that we all have an opportunity to be kind and show kindness to others.”
