The University of Dayton MBA Student Chapter of the National Management Association (NMA) is setting the bar high with its enthusiastic leadership team, who are showing what it truly means to engage in servant leadership. Recently, they volunteered at Mission of Mary, an organization dedicated to energy sustainability and urban agriculture in local neighborhoods.
Lindsay Girardin shared her experience:
“Volunteering at Mission of Mary through the NMA/UD MBA Student Chapter was an incredibly rewarding experience that deepened my understanding of sustainable agriculture and community involvement. A special thanks to Dan Lombardo, the Education and Outreach Coordinator, for coordinating our day and helping us understand the importance of the work being done at the farm. Contributing to projects that support food security and environmental stewardship gave me a sense of purpose and connection that I will carry with me long after my time at the farm.”
Dipankar Dey also reflected on the day:
“It was a fun hot day. It helped me a lot to know about the value of foods. I got to know about the neighborhood. It helped me to understand how hard our farmers are working for us and that we should be more respectful towards food. All in all, a great day to be remembered.”
👏 Kudos to our student leaders for their dedication and to everyone who participated in making a difference in our community!
